The Hotel Chelsea

A unique and unconventional hotel. We really loved its location, atmosphere, and service. Everything was excellent!

The room was absolutely stunning. Huge by New York standards. The most comfortable super king bed, softest sheets, fluffy pillows that I had to look and see the make of to get some at home! Our room had a balcony and was right by the Hotel Chelsea sign. The hotel staff were so kind and generous. We got an upgraded room and a bottle of wine to celebrate our anniversary. Breakfast the next day was gorgeous - tons of smoked salmon on Herby cream cheese and sourdough. Eaten in a lovely setting too. We just couldn't believe how lovely and characterful everything was and it was such a privilege to stay in a hotel with so much history. This is not a normal hotel, it's exceptional and unique.

Beautiful & Historic. From start finish this hotel has been absolutely marvellous. On the advice of an American friend I booked the Hotel Chelsea for my son and his girlfriend. Obviously, I’d already heard of it in terms of the artistic and literary community who are associated with it but I had no idea what it was like now. The interactions I had prior to my son‘s arrival were second to none. I booked a car to meet them at the airport via the hotel and also arranged to pay the final bill. Every single question I asked received an instant response and each person’s answer was considered and charming. I’d like to mention them all by name, they are Tracy Liu, Madeline and Amy Tang. My son’s stay was perfect in every way from the moment they arrived to the moment they left. They couldn’t say enough good things. The location was ideal. He said their room had the biggest bed that they had ever seen in their lives and that every single thing about the room was just lovely. It was ideal and we will be back. Staff was excellent & VERY polite! Helpful, Professional, Kinda & easy going. The rooms were SUPER clean & nice. And towels & robs were amazing! But I can't say enough good things about the staff!! As a born & raised New Yorker, I've stayed in every Hotel, Motel & Rental Apt. & It was probably the best place i've stayed.From Front Desk,To Door Men, to housekeeping THEY were ALL cool! Thank You for my 49th B.Day at an "GREAT" Legendary, Timeless, Hotel!! I look forward to my next visit!!
