When I booked at this hotel, I had no idea of its status as an iconic hotel. I booked for its location and online photos. Traveling with my 30-something daughter for a long weekend, we wanted to pack in as many visits as possible to the different neighborhoods, eateries, shows, museums, parks and NYC hot spots. The hotel is in a perfect location, with nearby subway stations, quick taxi availability and easy walking to great restaurants, bars, shopping, parks and museums. The hospitality at the hotel is phenomenal. On arrival, after delayed flights and re-routing, our weary selves were greeted by two amazing, friendly and efficient front desk staff, Te'a and Clint, who's kind professionalism made us feel right at home, in good hands and fully informed about what services and options the hotel offered. We booked a dinner for the next night in the cafe, and it was a winner! The room was big and the amenities were generous. Housekeeping services were exceptional with nightly turndown service. This hotel is a real gem. I'll read the book, Inside the Dream Palace before my next stay. There's so much to learn and know about the Hotel Chelsea!

Beautiful & Historic. From start finish this hotel has been absolutely marvellous. On the advice of an American friend I booked the Hotel Chelsea for my son and his girlfriend. Obviously, I’d already heard of it in terms of the artistic and literary community who are associated with it but I had no idea what it was like now. The interactions I had prior to my son‘s arrival were second to none. I booked a car to meet them at the airport via the hotel and also arranged to pay the final bill. Every single question I asked received an instant response and each person’s answer was considered and charming. I’d like to mention them all by name, they are Tracy Liu, Madeline and Amy Tang. My son’s stay was perfect in every way from the moment they arrived to the moment they left. They couldn’t say enough good things. The location was ideal. He said their room had the biggest bed that they had ever seen in their lives and that every single thing about the room was just lovely. It was ideal and we will be back. Thank you so much Hotel Chelsea.

Centrally located in Manhattan, this property is perfect for those who love to explore on foot, with many attractions within walking distance. The lobby exudes a warm, inviting “Old New York” charm that reflects the building’s rich history. Onsite dining offers delicious options, and the spa is a standout feature—pure perfection. Rooms are well-appointed with comfortable bedding, respectable toiletries, and excellent water pressure. Our king room included a convenient closet area off the bathroom for luggage storage—a thoughtful touch. Street noise was minimal, and we experienced no disturbances from other guests or hallway noise after hours. The Lobby also seemed well managed by the 24/7 staff - solo female travelers will feel safe and cared for.

This hotel has a lot of history and is an important institution in NYC. All floors and corridors are full with wonderful paintings. my room was amazing with 2 walk in wardrobes, a luxurious bathroom and stylish bedroom. This is rock'n'roll flair for wealthy people. I chose this hotel because it was mentioned in some article that it had been recently renovated. Definitely nothing looked worn. It is certainly a very special place! Breakfast was separate, and there isn't a buffet. But I had the best (and most expensive) avocado toast ever and the breakfast room was the most wonderful room decorated in period style. It is certainly an unforgettable experience to stay at this beautiful and historic hotel!

The room was absolutely stunning. Huge by New York standards. The most comfortable super king bed, softest sheets, fluffy pillows that I had to look and see the make of to get some at home! Our room had a balcony and was right by the Hotel Chelsea sign. The hotel staff were so kind and generous. We got an upgraded room and a bottle of wine to celebrate our anniversary. Breakfast the next day was gorgeous - tons of smoked salmon on Herby cream cheese and sourdough. Eaten in a lovely setting too. We just couldn't believe how lovely and characterful everything was and it was such a privilege to stay in a hotel with so much history. This is not a normal hotel, it's exceptional and unique.
